RETURN POLICY
Due to the nature of our “made to order” model, and the uniqueness of each piece, all custom dimension and specification pieces are considered final sales. Gudde Co will work with you throughout the project, to ensure complete satisfaction in the final piece. If you are displeased with a product you have received, we will work to resolve the issue within reason. All "ready made" pieces carry a 30 day return policy from time of purchase. Returns must be approved by Gudde Co. A 15% restocking fee will be assessed on all returns and will be assessed on the total price of the item, less shipping. Buyer is responsible for all return shipping and handling charges. Original shipping and handling charges and return shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Restocking fee only applies to all non-warranty returns. Items must be returned in like-new condition, without any signs of wear or damage. Additional fees may apply to items returned in non-original condition.
WARRANTY TERMS
We warranty against manufacturing defects within 1 year of delivery/pickup and will offer repair or replacement on a case-by-case basis. However, many natural characteristics of wood are subjective to each individual and these items are not considered warranty-able or returnable. Gudde Co assumes no responsibility for and does not warranty any issues related to maintenance of each piece. Upon completion and delivery/pickup of a completed piece, all cleaning and maintenance is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.
Due to the characteristics of solid wood, Gudde Co cannot guarantee the consistency of each piece. Knots, holes, cracks, grain size, pattern, and other natural characteristics in the wood are not viewed as defects; rather these are seen as character marks reflecting the history of each wood piece. These are not considered warranty-able or returnable. Wood movement is a natural occurrence in all solid wood pieces, that cannot be prevented. Wood expands and contracts with climate and seasonal changes. This is also not considered warranty-able or returnable.
PAYMENT TERMS
Upon acceptance of custom proposal, a deposit of 50% of the total price is due. Remaining balance is to be paid upon completion of project and pick-up/delivery. All sales completed in the state of Texas will be subject to sales tax. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card; to be arranged prior to deposit. All checks must be made out to: The Gudde Creative LLC. Orders are not binding until accepted by both Gudde Co and Customer. There is a 48 hour grace period, if you choose to cancel a custom order, wherein the 50% deposit will be refunded. After the 48 hour grace period, the 50% deposit is non-refundable.
SHIPPING/FREIGHT TERMS
Prior to shipment, the remaining balance due must be paid. No exceptions.
Shipping: Customer will be notified when their piece is ready for shipment. At the time of notification, a shipping charge will also be calculated and sent to the customer. Gudde Co will allow a 2 day period for payment to be sent. Due to shop space, Gudde Co may charge a fee of $50 per day , if the remaining balance due, including shipping charges, are not paid within the allotted time frame. Shipping costs in the agreement are estimates and are subject to change at the time of shipment. Customer will be notified of all shipping costs once the project is ready for shipment.
PICK-UP/DELIVERY TERMS
Prior to pick-up or delivery, the remaining balance due must be paid. No exceptions.
Pick-up: Customer will be notified when their piece is ready for pick-up. Gudde Co will allow a 3 day period for pickup to be arranged. Due to shop space, Gudde Co may charge a fee of $50 per day , if the piece is not picked up within the allotted time frame.
Delivery: Delivery is available within a 20 mile radius of Austin TX. A delivery fee may be charged, dependent on the size of the piece. If delivery is chosen, the potential fee will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the custom order agreement.
LEAD TIME
Lead time will vary based on current work schedule and time of deposit collection. The agreed upon timeframe per project is purely an estimate and could change based on issues outside of Gudde Co’s control. However, the customer will be updated with any changes to the projected lead-time.
CUSTOM WORK: SCOPE OF SERVICES
Due to the unique handmade character of all Gudde Co products, no two pieces will be exactly alike. Pieces of the same design may have slight variations based on factors including wood, steel and overall shape. Gudde Co. in no way guarantees each piece to be 100% exact copies of the last. Final dimensions of each piece will be within +/- 0.75” for length, width and height of original agreed upon design. The thickness of the top will be within +/- 0.25” of the agreed upon design.
Gudde Co offers no guarantees for color matching and our furniture is non-returnable due to color, stain, and matching issues. Because our lumber is mostly Second Generation, and with the beauty and artistry of nature, each piece may differ from the last. Each piece will have its own character and history, that could be subjective to each individual. Gudde Co believes in enhancing what nature has done, so any and all of the characteristics are just clues to the history of each piece and not to be viewed as defects or imperfections.
Gudde Co strongly recommends following the guidelines for proper maintenance and cleaning of each piece as listed on the Furniture Care & Maintenance document.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Gudde Co will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance, due in whole or in part, to anything beyond reasonable control. Including, but not limited to fires, acts of God, or acts of compliance with any law or regulation. In no event shall Gudde Co be liable to Customer for any (i) special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or (ii) any damages resulting from loss of use or profit. Some states do not allow this exclusion or termination of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
RIGHTS TO DESIGN
Gudde Co retains all creative rights to all products made. Gudde Co may choose to use any and all photographs of furniture pieces for business and website purposes.
